CERTIFED POLICE OFFICER

Applicant must have graduated from or be currently enrolled in a certified MCJTC/MPTC Academy full-time program

The Mendon Police Department is currently accepting résumés for a full-time Police Officer position.

Applicants must be at least twenty-one years of age, a non-smoker, hold a valid driver’s license, have a high school diploma or equivalent, have graduated from or be currently enrolled in a certified MCJTC/MPTC Academy full-time program. Applicants are subject to physical and psychological examination, as well as an extensive background check.

General responsibilities of a Police Officer include, but are not limited to, enforcing laws, identifying criminal activities, apprehending offenders, conducting preventative patrols, aiding individuals in danger, facilitating safe movement of traffic, and responding to emergency situations. A more comprehensive job description is available upon request.

Starting pay under the current collective bargaining agreement is $1,114.14/week to $1,420.07/week plus applicable stipends, depending on experience. The Town of Mendon offers competitive benefits, including medical and dental insurance, life insurance, and paid vacation, personal time, and sick leave.
