Special Police Officer Class II
Applicants must possess a current and waiverable New Jersey Special Law Enforcement Officer Class II certification from the New Jersey Police Training Commission and have at least 60 college credits or two years military experience with an honorable discharge. Qualified applicants must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license and meet all of the qualifications of the Manalapan Township Police Department and N.J.S.A. 14-146 et seq.
The Manalapan Township Special Law Enforcement Officer Class II (SLEO Class II) is a part time member of the Police Department. The SLEO Class II is tasked with providing municipal court security, prisoner transports as well as other details that support and supplement this agency’s commitment to public service. The salary is an hourly rate of $15.00 with the potential opportunity to work extra hours in an off duty capacity.
