Greenfield Police Department, IN Police Jobs

The mission of the Greenfield Police Department is to form partnerships with the community and provide the highest quality of police service to achieve public satisfaction, making the City of Greenfield a safe place to live, visit, and conduct business. 

The Greenfield Police Department (IN) is currently accepting applications for Certified Police Officers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must possess a valid Drivers License
  • Must have completed the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy TIER 1 or equivalent to apply
  • Must be eligible for entry into PERF 1977 Police and Fire Retirement fund (between the ages of 21 and 40 at time of appointment or eligible for PERF transfer)
  • Must not have any felony convictions
  • Must have High School diploma (G.E.D. will be considered)
  • Must be of good moral character

 

Salary will be based on years post Academy certification:

  • Probationary Pay (until completion of FTO): $58,815.98
  • 1 year certification: $61,707.18 (40 hours VAC)
  • 2 year certification: $63,495.98 (80 hours VAC)
  • 3 year certification: $64,910.38 (80 hours VAC)

  • Greenfield is the county seat of Hancock County and the largest City in the county.
  • Population of just under 24,000 residents
  • Currently have 42 Police Officers
  • Patrol roughly 25 square miles including 2 State Highways and Interstate 70

  3. Oral Interview / Written Assignment Week of April 26, 2022
  4. Background Investigation
  5. Certified Voice Stress Analysis
  6. PERF physical and psychological exam (if required)
