As a nationally accredited agency through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA), we are committed to upholding the highest standards of law enforcement and community policing.
Position Details: We are currently accepting applications for full-time Police Officers. Qualified applicants must hold a valid Connecticut POSTC certification or be able to achieve certification through comparative compliance within 30 days of hire.
Competitive Salary & Benefits:
- Current Salary Range: $85, 108.00 to $91, 309.73
- Top Step Patrol Pay on 07/01/2026: $91, 309.73

Patrol Schedule: Officers operate on a dynamic 4-2 rotating schedule, working four consecutive days followed by two days off, ensuring optimal coverage and flexibility.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED (Associate’s Degree preferred)
- Valid Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operator’s License
- At least 21 years of age
- U.S. Citizen
- Good character and high moral standards
- Ability to pass a thorough background investigation, polygraph, medical and psychological examinations, as well as physical agility and written tests
