The Auburn PD is a progressive and professional law enforcement organization with 55 sworn officers and 7 civilian employees. The Department has a proud tradition of honor, excellence, loyalty and professionalism and is a nationally and state-accredited law enforcement agency.
REQUIREMENTS:
- All applicants must be high school graduates or have passed a high school equivalency exam.
- Applicants must be 21 years of age, or 20 with at least 60 college credits.
- Applicants must posses a valid driver’s license. exam,
- Candidates must pass an oral board, polygraph, medical screening, substance and psychological testing and an extensive background check. EXPEDITED HIRING PROCESS!
- Police Officers must be able to work all shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
CERTIFIED/LATERAL OFFICER SALARY
The City of Auburn has lateral entry and will recognize full-time law enforcement experience in municipal, county, state or federal law enforcement agency. Potential annual salary is more than $99,099+ (includes holiday pay).
Effective July 1st 2027- Educational incentive is .50/hr. for Associate or prior military service, .75/hr. for Bachelor degree & $1.00/hr. for a Masters degree.
