Job Announcement:

The City of Attleboro, Massachusetts police department is currently accepting lateral transfers for full-time police officer positions. 

  • The Attleboro Police Department will accept applications from police officers from across the United States.
  • Lateral transfers will be accepted from out-of-state police officers.
  • The Attleboro Police is not a Civil Service department and will accept applications from Non- Civil Service departments. 
  • All applicants must have completed a full-time police academy.
  • Applicants must be able to obtain Massachusetts P.O.S.T. certification.  

Salary and Benefits

  • Step 1 - $83,179.78 (with College Degree)
  • Step 6 - $100,749.58 (with College Degree)

Shift differential

  • 4pm-12am – 8% of base pay
  • 12am-8am – 10% of base pay

College Degree Incentive

  • Associates degree – 5% of base pay
  • Bachelor’s degree – 10% of base pay
  • Master’s or law degree – 12.5% of base pay

Longevity Pay

  • 7 years $900
  • 15 years $1,600
  • 10 years $1,200
  • 20 years $2,400
  • 25 years $3,200
  • 30 years $6,500

 

  • Body Camera Stipend - $1,650
  • Defibrillator Stipend - $400
  • EMT Stipend - $500
  • First Responder Stipend - $1,000
  • Travel Time Stipend - $1,000
  • Holiday Pay –12 paid holidays
  • 15 Sicks day a year
  • Up to 33 vacation days a year
