ALPINE POLICE DEPARTMENT
NJ PTC CERTIFIED FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER
The Alpine Police Department will be accepting applications for the position of full-time Police Officer.
Application Period:
May 6, 2024 through June 3, 2024
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must possess a NJ PTC certification or currently enrolled in a NJ Alternate Route PTC
- Must be a resident of New Jersey and a citizen of the United States
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Shall have graduated from high school or possess a General Equivalency Degree (GED)
- Ability to perform all the tasks and duties of a Police Officer
- Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license
- No indictable criminal history conviction and of good moral character
All returned applications must be accompanied by the following:
- Detailed resume and cover letter
- Copy of PTC certificate or letter from Academy Director stating their enrollment in the
alternate route program. - Photocopy of the applicant’s valid New Jersey driver’s license
*Incomplete Application Packets will not be considered*
Hiring Process:
- The department will accept resumes from potential candidates.
- Selected candidates will go before an interview panel.
- Candidates selected to continue in the process will be asked to submit an application.
- Complete and pass a thorough background investigation.
- Complete and pass a psychological and medical examination to include a drug
screening.
