ALLENHURST POLICE - NOW HIRING
FULL TIME CLASS II SPECIAL POLICE OFFICER (SLEOII)
WITH THE HIGH PROBABILITY OF A FULL TIME PATROLMAN POSITION

The Allenhurst Police Department is currently hiring one (1) Full time SLEOII. We are a small agency (9 officers), with a municipal beach club, a business district, and Victorian Era historic homes, all in a beautiful, seaside community of less than a square mile.
Our officers work a 4 on, 3 off, 10-hour shift schedule with permanent days off. We send our police officers to numerous in-service training courses to ensure they are highly trained in a variety of law enforcement specialties.
Our focus is on community policing, and traffic enforcement.
Minimum qualifications:
- Must be a citizen of the United States
- Must be a resident of New Jersey
- Must be at least 18 years of age, and not have reached the age of 35.
- A valid NJ driver’s license, with a relatively clean driving record.
- Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language well.
- Must be in good health.
- Must be of good moral character and shall not have been convicted of any crime or offense.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen test.
- The applicant must have a CURRENT NJ PTC SLEOII certification.
