ActivePosition: Business Development Representative is looking to expand its team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to become a member of a growing company. Based in Wallingford, CT - PoliceApp works with Public Safety Agencies across the US to find and hire applicants.



We are looking for a motivated Business Development Representative to perform outbound calls to potential and current agencies to build new leads and maintain lasting relationships with departments. The position requires an individual to work closely with the business development director to ensure accurate and effective quality leads.

In addition to, we opererate our sister-sites:, and The right candidate would have appreciation for the public safety professions, be self-motivated, organized and familiar with a structured sales approach. 


  • Generate and convert new leads by establishing and maintaining relationships, this includes cold calling, in bound sales calls, tradeshows, networking events, and other partnerships.


  • Set and conduct virtual demonstrations with decision makers; get results by asking appropriate questions that qualify business and take advantage of opportunities to create value and meet client needs.


  • Win new accounts, expand existing accounts, and provide exceptional service to all active and prospective customers.


  • You will run a pipeline of business, moving the various opportunities throughout the sales cycle, and successfully close the sale. 


  • Meeting and exceeding sales revenue targets, both monthly and annually.
  • Managing and maintaining opportunities, with consistent follow up on both inbound and outbound sales leads.


  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with referral partners.


Skills & Qualifications:

  • BA/BS in Marketing, Communications or related area
  • Two years sales experience, preferably with in the government or public safely sector  
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with potential clients
  • Strong time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent Marketing, Advertising and Sales skills and abilities
  • Strong PC skills, including use of standard MS Office applications; knowledge of a plus
