The Bennington Police Department is a community-focused rural law enforcement agency dedicated to protecting the lives, property, and constitutional rights of the citizens of Bennington, New Hampshire. Though small in size, the Department is committed to providing professional, ethical, and compassionate police services while preserving peace, preventing crime, and maintaining public trust.
Comprised of two full-time officers and two part-time officers providing part-time coverage, the Department emphasizes strong community relationships and responsive local policing. Officers strive to uphold the dignity and worth of every individual through the fair and equitable application of the law while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, accountability, and professionalism.
Recognizing the importance of collaboration in public safety, the Bennington Police Department works closely with the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, neighboring law enforcement agencies, and the New Hampshire State Police to ensure effective emergency response, regional cooperation, and comprehensive law enforcement services to the community.
