The Mattapoisett Police Department, a non-civil service agency, is seeking highly motivated and proactive police officers to join our department. Applicants must possess strong problem-solving abilities with a high level of integrity, and have effective verbal and written communication skills.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Must have or be able to successfully complete a Municipal Police Training Committee (MPTC) full-time police academy and be POST Certified or be in good standing to receive such certification.
  • Candidates must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
  • Possess a valid Massachusetts Class A License to Carry Firearms.
  • Upon hire or within one year, obtain EMT Certification.
  • Must pass a background investigation, medical evaluation, psychological examination and Physical Abilities Test (PAT)

SALARY:

$53,290 - $81,327 plus educational Incentive.

Quinn Bill Equivalent.

Salary for lateral transfers at present years of service

Paramedic / EMT bonus
