Eastern Pike Regional Police Department

The Eastern Pike Regional Police Department is governed by a five member Police Commission made up of two members of the Matamoras Borough Council and two members from the Westfall Township Board of Supervisors, as well as, one member of the community appointed by the other four members.
The top priority of every member of the Eastern Pike Regional Police Department is to provide the highest quality of service to the citizens of Matamoras and Westfall.

Mission

The mission of the Eastern Regional Police Department is to work in partnership with the residents and businesses of the community to provide a safe and secure environment through impartial police services by preserving the peace, reducing fear and enhancing the quality of life.

 

The Eastern Pike Regional Police Department includes the Borough of Matamoras, and the Township of Westfall, which are located in the extreme eastern end of Northeastern Pennsylvania. Matamoras Borough occupies 448 acres and has 2,469 residents. Westfall Township occupies 19,456 acres and has 2,323 residents.
The Borough of Matamoras and the Township of Westfall, Pike County, signed a Regionalization agreement on October 4, 2007 to combine their current police forces. On January 7, 2008 the new department started servicing the two communities. This is to be the first regional police department in Pike County.
