Conway is a year-round tourist destination located in the White Mountains of NH, with a full-time population of 10,000. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to join our team, which consists of 33 full-time employees, making us one of the largest departments in Northern NH.
Conway Police Department supports a multitude of training opportunities and offers many specialized units such as:
School Resource Officer
Evidence Officer
Field Training Officer
Firearms/Taser/Defensive Tactics Instructors
Fleet Maintenance
Mountain Bike Patrol
Investigative Services Division
Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team
Minimum Requirements:
Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, and a valid drivers' license
Must be 18 years of age by hire date
Residency within 30 miles is required within 12 months of hire date
Hiring Process :
Applicants must be able to pass-
A physical agility test
An oral board (panel interview)
A written exam
A truth verification (CVSA) exam
A psychological exam
A background investigation
Salary & Benefits
Starting pay of $27.69 (non-certified) plus benefits package (includes medical, dental, long-term disability, life insurance, paid vacation and sick time, educational incentive, clothing allowance, specialized unit incentives, NH Retirement System).
