The Northumberland Police Department proudly serves the community of Northumberland, New Hampshire. As a small but dedicated team, we are committed to providing exceptional law enforcement services with a personal touch. Our department is deeply rooted in the values of integrity, respect, and community partnership. We are committed to providing professional law enforcement services to our community members, Officer's are encouraged to attend training to enhance their knowledge and skill level, so they can provide seasoned services to the citizens.

About Us
The Northumberland Police Department proudly serves a community of 2,126 (2020 Census) full-time residents, with numerous seasonal residents and tourists. Its located in Coos County and is surrounded by the towns of Lancaster, Stark, Stratford and Odell. There are 35.7 square miles .08 miles of inland waterways to include the Connecticut river and Ammonoosuc river. State routes 3 and 110 run through Northumberland leading to Concord south and Pittsburg north. The area is traveled heavily for those who are riding snow machines, ATV's or hiking.
Being a small department allows us to focus on personalized service and deep community involvement. Whether through neighborhood patrols, community meetings, or outreach programs, we are committed to maintaining a visible and supportive presence.
