EAST BROOKFIELD, MA POLICE DEPARTMENT

FULL-TIME POLICE OFFICER

The East Brookfield Police is a non-civil service department seeking qualified candidates to fill the anticipated position of full-time police officer.  Candidate Minimum Qualifications: U.S. citizen, high school diploma, at least 21 years of age, possess a valid Massachusetts driver’s license and a valid Massachusetts License to Carry or the ability to possess one.  Applicants must also have graduated from the M.P.T.C. Full-Time Academy.

Candidates will be expected to pass a background check, including CORI, psychological & physical exam and have an acceptable driving record.

Current starting pay for full-time officers is $57,796 along with shift differential (3-11 $1 per hour /11-7 $1.50 per hour) and $52 per hour for details.  The East Brookfield Police Department also offers the following:  full educational incentive: Associate’s Degree 10%, Bachelor’s Degree 20% and Master’s Degree 25% (which is included in overtime), health insurance is 25% / 75%, up to 6 weeks vacation, personal days, 21 earned sick days per year, monthly phone stipend, uniform allowance and longevity stipend.
