Full-Time Patrol Officer
The Town of Erving, Massachusetts is seeking candidates for the full-time, benefitted position of Patrol Officer to perform routine and specialized law enforcement work to protect lives and property, prevent and suppress crimes within the community in carrying out the enforcement of state and federal laws and local Bylaws. The successful candidate will have a community policing oriented approach. This is a 40-hour week position, primarily 2nd and 3rd shifts including weekends.
Qualifications Include:
The successful candidate must be at least 21 years old, possess an associate degree, preferably in Criminal Justice and be a Reserve MCJTC Academy graduate or equivalent, Full-time certification preferred. Candidates shall be required to meet specific medical and physical requirements, including successful completion of the Recruit Academy (ROC) Entry-level Fitness Standards, an extensive background and psychological examination. Must have a valid LTC class A and possess a valid driver’s license.
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications, in accordance with the pay schedule, plus benefits.
