Town of Granby Police Captain
Work involves responsibility for acting as the Chief of Police as assigned. Executive Officer/Second in Command of the department. Duties include assisting in the management and supervision of all police department staff and services. This position also has the responsibility for making difficult law enforcement and administrative decisions. This work requires that the employee have considerable knowledge, skill and ability in police department management. A Bachelor’s Degree in Police Science, Criminal Justice, Public Administration or related field and ten (10) years of police experience with at least three (3) years at the rank of Sergeant. FBI National Academy graduate preferred. Must have a valid Connecticut Class D driver's license. Must be certified by the State of Connecticut Police Officer Standards and Training Council. Salary range is $98,188 - $119,459. A resume is required with all submissions.
