Position Title: Police Officer

The Village of Schaumburg is currently hiring for the position of Police Officer. Candidates are required to complete NTN's Frontline National exam and Public Safety Self Assessment (PSSA) by March 29, 2021 in order to be considered.

Salary Information: $70,982 - $104,775

Job Requirements

Age : Applicants, at such time as they file their application with this board, must be at least 21 years of age. Applicants shall be under 35 years of age, at the time of application and at such time as the final eligibility list is posted, unless exempt from such age limitation as provided in Section 5/10-2.1-6 of the Fire and Police Commissioner’s Act.

US Citizen : Must be a United States Citizen

High School Grad/GED : Yes

Valid ILLINOIS State Driver's License : Valid Driver's License from any state

Ability to Read/Speak English : Yes

Vision : Must pass the pre-employment physical

College : Bachelor’s Degree in any field

  2. Polygraph Exam
  3. Oral Interview with the Board of Fire and Police Commissioners
  4. Psychological Exam
  5. Background Investigation
  6. Physical Exam
