POLICE OFFICER

GENERAL DUTIES
Exercise authority consistent with the obligations imposed by the oath of office and in conformance with the general duties of the Department. To protect life and property, preserve the peace and perform their duties promptly, faithfully and diligently.

- Branchburg Township is a semi-rural town that has a growing residential and business
community as well as industrial growth.
- Branchburg currently has 24 full-time sworn officers dedicated to providing security, protection
and professional service to the residents of Branchburg.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be currently enrolled in a Police Academy or have graduated with a P.T.C certification or a SLEO II.
- Must be 18 years or older
- US citizen
- Graduated from High School or GED
- Valid New Jersey Driver’s License

- Drug testing
- Medical clearance
