POLICE OFFICER
POLICE OFFICER – PLUMSTED TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT is accepting applications for the position of Part Time/Full Time Police Officer.
Applicants must be a U.S. citizen between the ages of 18 to 35 and must possess either a current New Jersey SLEO Class II waivable license, BCPO license or are currently a recruit in the Police Academy.

About Our Department:
The Plumsted Township Police Department consists of 14 full-time sworn officers. Applications will be utilized for the hiring of one full-time officer and potential hiring of one SLEO II with possible future appointments to fulfill staffing needs.
About Our Community:
Plumsted Township is located in Ocean County, New Jersey. It was incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 11, 1845, from portions of Jackson Township, while the area was still part of Monmouth County. Plumsted became part of the newly created Ocean County on February 15, 1850. The township was named for Clement Plumsted, an English Quaker who bought a large parcel of land.
Plumsted Township has a population of nearly 9,500 residents including section of Cream Ridge with an influx of visitors traveling to town for Laurita Winery during the summer months. Plumsted Township borders Manchester, Jackson Township, Upper Freehold and North Hanover with a total of 39.53 square miles.
