Public Safety Dispatch Telecommunicator - 8 hour shifts - 24-hour operation
Performs responsible public safety telecommunications services involving the receipt and transmission of emergency and administrative radio and telephone messages over a combined police, fire and emergency medical communication system. Requirements are High School Diploma or equivalent; Three years of full-time work experience one year of which must have been in public safety telecommunications and/or a related field dealing with the public via telephone or in person communication in a customer service environment within the last five (5) years; or an AAS degree or equivalent college credits may be used for up to two years of the required work experience. However, all candidates must have at least one year of work experience dealing with the public in a customer service environment within the last five (5) years.
