Colchester Police Department is seeking to immediately fill the position of Communications Specialist (Dispatcher).
ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT
Colchester is a diverse community with a population of approximately 17,000 located on the shores of Lake Champlain. We are proud to recently be named one of Money Magazine’s 50 Best Places to Live in America.
Our police department has 28 sworn officers, eight civilian staff, and in 2016 handled over 13,000 calls for service.

Communications Specialist
The Communication Center at Colchester Police headquarters is a 24 hour, 365 day per year emergency operation that supports the activities of two police departments and multiple rescue and fire entities. This position requires the ability to work different shifts as well as weekends and holidays. The successful candidate will demonstrate an ability to work under pressure and multi-task often difficult situations.
