POLICE OFFICER
The Town of Windsor Locks seeks Police Officers who are current, retiring, or retired, State Police Officer, valid or eligible for petition of POST-C certification as a Police Officer In the State of Connect/cut to laterally transfer to the Town of Windsor Locks. The successful candidate must be eligible for and meet all the requirements for a lateral transfer as established by the Police Officer Standards and Training Council. *those officers that may be retiring during the next 6 months from their current departments are encouraged to apply.
In addition, the successful candidate will be scheduled for and must pass the following:
- A written examination
- A physical examination.
- A background investigation, including a polygraph.
- A psychological examination.
- A physical agility examination.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- A valid POST -C certification as a Police Officer in the State of Connecticut.
Compensation: Per Union Contract Starting $70.233.27 (July 1, 2014 per contract) newly hired lateral transfer Officers with three or more years of prior CT police POST/State certification will increase to top-step Patrol pay $72,583.62 (July 1, 2014 per contract) following successful completion of the implemented field training program (FTO) on one year anniversary.
Benefits: Health Benefits/Pension Eligible governed by Union Contract
