East Granby - Certified Police Officer

Job Announcement

The Town of East Granby seeks Police Officers who have a current, valid POST-C Certification as a Police Officer in the State of Connecticut to laterally transfer to the Town of East Granby or a Connecticut State Trooper with the ability to become POST Certified.  The successful candidate must be eligible for and meet all the requirements for a lateral transfer as established by POST.

The successful candidate will be scheduled for and must pass the following: written and physical examinations, a background investigation including a polygraph, psychological examination and a physical agility examination.  Candidate needs to possess a valid driver's license and a valid POST-C certification.

Per Union Contract, the starting compensation is $60,283 as of July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019.  The benefit package includes health, life and long-term disability insurance along with paid holidays, sick days and a town contribution to  a 401(a) program governed by the union contract.
