Department Profile

The New Fairfield Communications center is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by trained Emergency Telecommunicator Dispatchers. This center answers all 911 calls for the Town of New Fairfield and dispatches the Police Department / Resident State Troopers, New Fairfield Fire Department, and EMS. All dispatchers are trained in Emergency Communications and are certified by the State of Connecticut as Telecommunicators. They are also certified Emergency Medical Dispatchers by the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials (APCO). 

The Communications Center can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by calling (203) 312-5701. The Center also runs the town’s Alarm Ordinance. All alarms in town (police, fire, and medical) need to be registered with the town. Please find the alarm registration forms under Additional Links.
