Litchfield County Dispatch (LCD) is dedicated to providing the highest level of professional emergency telecommunications. We are committed to serve as the vital link between our citizens and the public safety agencies by efficiently and accurately collecting and disseminating information needed to protect life, property and the environment. LCD strives to achieve only the highest, most efficient level of first-first responder care there is without the sacrifice of accuracy or compassion, utilizing constant self-improvement through continuing education.
ABOUT
Litchfield County Dispatch, Inc. (LCD) is testifying in support of Senate Bill 846. LCD is the primary Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for Litchfield County, Connecticut. Answering for 20 towns in Northwest Connecticut, LCD dispatches 53 fire, medical, and police services, which cover 945 square miles and approximately 100,000 citizens. Combined, LCD averages over 80,000 fire, medical, and police calls annually.
