PENN TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT
NOW HIRING
FULL TIME POLICE OFFICER (ACT 120)
Minimum Qualifications
At the time of application, applicants must possess the following qualifications:
1) Diploma from an accredited high school or a graduate equivalency diploma
2) PA Act 120 certified or successfully completed Act 120 training and passed the final examination
3) United States Citizenship
4) Physically/mentally fit to perform the full duties of a Police Officer, and
5) Valid motor vehicle operator’s license and eligible to legally operate a motor vehicle in the Commonwealth of PA.
Important Notice
1. Completed applications for Patrol Officer must be submitted t by 4:00 pm Friday, June 24, 2016.
2. The first step in testing will be the physical agility test, which will be conducted on Thursday, July 7 2016, at 9:00 am
THERE WILL BE NO TEST “MAKE-UP” DATES.
Physical agility testing will be conducted at the:
Allegheny County Police Training Academy

Applicants not passing the physical agility test will not be permitted to take the written test. The written test will be conducted immediately after the physical agility test on July 7th and oral exams will be in August, dates and times to be determined.
3. All applicants for Patrol Officer must provide the items listed below when submitting his/her completed application. The application packet will not be considered complete without these items.
• copy of a high school, G.E.D. or highest level college diploma
• copy of a valid driver’s license
• copy of PA Act 120 certification or proof of completed Act 120 training
• copy of DD214 Form, if claiming Veterans’ preference
• copy of your current Consumer Credit Rating Report
• Cover letter and resume
