HARRISON TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT (Gloucester County)

ENTRY LEVEL AND SLEO II
POLICE OFFICERS
The written examination date, time and location, TBD but expected to be early to mid April.
Salary: Full Time $33,742.80 while attending academy and $55,333.31 after completion of academy. SLEO IIs: $16.22/hr while attending academy (if necessary) and $18.00-$25.00/hr after completion.
Police Officer- The Township of Harrison is accepting applications for full time and SLEO II police officers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- U.S. citizen and a resident of the State of New Jersey at the time of appointment
- Possession of a New Jersey PTC Certification or be waiver eligible is encouraged but not required. Meet PFRS eligibility requirements.
- Proficient in English reading, writing, speaking
- Good moral character with no disqualifying criminal history or offenses of moral turpitude
- Able to pass exams as required (oral, written, physical, psychological)
- Meet essential general duties, responsibilities and requirements of a police officer
- Associate's Degree from an accredited college or service in the United States Military for a period of at least 2 years preferred
- Valid New Jersey driver's license
- Meet all requirements under N.J.S. 40A:14-122 to N.J.S. 40A:14-127
