Police Director – Franklin Township, Hunterdon
The Township seeks a highly qualified Police Director to serve as the chief executive administrator of the Police Department, responsible for commanding all sworn officers and special police, enforcing state laws and local ordinances, overseeing departmental operations, personnel, discipline, and budgeting, and safeguarding public safety and order. This role includes reporting to and executing directives of the Township Committee, managing departmental property and records, supervising investigations and prosecutions, establishing and overseeing bureaus or divisions, assigning and scheduling personnel, and promoting professional excellence, accountability, and respect for the rights and welfare of the community and its residents.
