CERTIFIED FULL TIME POLICE OFFICER
The Borough of East Newark Police Department is currently accepting applications for full-time
positions. Applicants must have completed the basic course for Police Officer and be New
Jersey Police training commission certified and licensed.
Applicants shall meet the following qualifications to apply:
- Must be a resident of New Jersey and a citizen of the United States.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Shall have graduated from high school or possess a diploma or a GED.
- Ability to perform to the tasks and duties of a Police Officer.
- Possess a valid New Jersey driver's license.
- Be in good health and able to pass a medical examination that satisfies guidelines by The
- Police Training Commission.
- Be in sound mind and able to successfully pass a psychological testing establishing fitness for duty.
- Three years experience preferred as a Police Officer in the State of New Jersey.
