The Collingswood Police Department is seeking applicants for:
Full Time Police Officers
and
Part Time SLEO II Officers
The Collingswood Police Department is accepting applications for current and future openings for the positions of Full Time Patrol Officer and Part Time Class II Officer. We are seeking motivated, hardworking, and dedicated men and women to join a diverse, community-oriented police department that provides police services to the Borough of Collingswood.
The Collingswood Police Department is a full-service police organization comprised of 28 fully sworn police officers. The Collingswood Police Department is a professional, accredited law enforcement organization that is seeking men and women with good character, sound judgment, reliability and integrity combined with excellent communication skills to serve our community. This posting is intended to create a police officer eligibility list, which will be used to fill current and future job openings.
Minimum Requirements:
- Citizen of the United States;
- Good health to satisfy pension (PFRS) requirements;
- Literacy (read, write and speak the English language);
- Good moral character (based on contemporary standards);
- Free of criminal conviction involving moral turpitude;
- Possess a valid automobile license issued by the State of New Jersey, Motor Vehicle Commission;
- Be not less than 21 years of age;
- Have completed or be able to satisfactorily complete, within one year of appointment, the
Police Training Course given by an accredited police academy in the State of New Jersey
(NJSA 18A:6-4.4);
- Meet all conditions as outlined by the New Jersey Police Training Commission licensing
requirements;
- Not be prohibited from possessing a firearm consistent with the provisions of NJSA 2C:39-7.
