HIRING ANNOUNCEMENT
SPECIAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER - CLASS III
The Hasbrouck Heights Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of SPECIAL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER - CLASS III.
The Hasbrouck Heights Police Department will be accepting applications for the position of Special Law Enforcement Officer Class III for the Hasbrouck Heights School District. Hours may vary.
Applicants shall meet the following qualifications in order to be considered for employment:
All applicants must complete an application. Returned applications must be accompanied by the following:
- Applicant’s cover letter
- Detailed resume
- Letter of Good Standing issued from agency in which officer retired listing date and type of retirement.
- Photo copy of the applicant’s valid New Jersey driver’s license
In order to apply for the position you must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- Must be a retired police officer who has previously served as a duly qualified, fully trained, full-time officer in any municipality or county of this state, or as a member of the New Jersey State Police, and must be living in New Jersey.
- Must possess a New Jersey Police Training Commission Basic Police Officer Certification or NJSP Academy Certification.
- Must have retired in good standing from previous law enforcement agencies.
- Shall not have retired no more than 3 years ago.
- Must successfully complete psychological and medical examination.
- Shall be in good physical condition to meet the demands of the job requirements.
