Full-Time Police Officer
**Eligibility Requirements for Appointment to the Police Division***
Education Requirements: -Must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university; or
must possess: -An associate’s degree or at least sixty (60) college credits from an accredited college or university; and successful completion of, enrollment in, or certification from the New Jersey Police Training Commission Alternate Route Program
Qualified veterans may substitute:
-Two (2) years of full-time active military service; and
-An associate’s degree from an accredited college or university
The Chief of Police may waive the education requirement for:
-Qualified veterans; and
-Applicants certified by the New Jersey Police Training Commission
