We're looking for CERTIFIED CLASS 2 OFFICERS

We are a great starter agency in a smaller municipality that actively supports its police department. Our Class II Officers augment our regular patrols, serve as *SROs, and are treated with the same positive consideration that all of our officers enjoy. We have some flexibility in scheduling and will work with you to enhance your career whether it is with us or another agency. We want our officers to succeed.

Minimum qualifications:

Must have valid SLEO 2 New Jersey certification
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess a High School diploma or equivalent
Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license
Must be a resident of New Jersey at the time of employment
Must be able to read, write and speak the English language well and intelligently
Must be of good moral character and shall not have been convicted of any crime
Candidates must be without any obligation to another Law Enforcement Department

Hiring Process:

Review of submitted application
Formal interview
Complete background investigation
Medical / Psychological / Drug exams upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment

Salary/Other:

$25 Hourly
Uniforms and equipment provided (except boots)

Schedule:

Full-time seasonal, Part-time in the off-season
