Job Description/General Duties:
Enforce criminal laws, motor vehicle laws, and borough ordinances. Respond to calls for service while representing the department in a professional and courteous manner. Demonstrate a proactive work ethic to deter criminal activity. Value and participate in Community Policing events. Treat citizens with respect and dignity that reflects positive values onto the department. Work as part of a team.
Minimum Requirements:
- * Must be at least 21 years of age
- * Citizen of the United States and resident of New Jersey
- * High School Graduate and Bachelors Degree
- * Valid New Jersey Driver's License
- * No Criminal History
- * Medically fit
- * Good moral character
Salary:
First year base salary: $39,730
Top Police Officer base salary: $129,674
