Applicants for this position must have a Bachelor’s degree signifying completion of the undergraduate curriculum and graduation from an accredited college or university or have been honorably discharged from one of the six service branches of the United States Armed Forces. Certification by the New Jersey Police Training Commission in the Basic Course or Class II Police Officer preferred but not required. Full-time Patrol Officers work rotating shifts using the Pittman schedule. The successful candidate must pass a background check, pre-employment physical and a drug test. DEFINITION:
Under supervision of the Patrol Division Lieutenant, investigate crimes, disorderly and petty disorderly offenses, Borough of Eatontown Ordinance violations, traffic accidents, non-criminal complaints, dog or animal complaints, lost or found items and all other general complaints and/or incidents.
