Job Announcement:

The Township of Hamilton Police Department is now accepting applications for the position of full-time police officer. The applicant must possess a valid NJ PTC certification, as well as the following qualifications.
- The applicant must be a citizen of the United States, be at least 21 and not over 35 years of age (Unless applicant is already enrolled in PFRS), have a valid driver’s license; be able to read, write, and speak the English language; be sound in body and health; be of good moral character and have not been convicted of any criminal offense involving moral turpitude.
- Possess a high school diploma (or G.E.D.)
- The applicant must possess a valid New Jersey Police Training Commission Certification.
- The applicant will undergo drug screening, psychological testing, and oral interviews.
- At the time of appointment as a police officer, the applicant must be a resident of New Jersey and possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
Multiple specialized units available, including:
- Detective
- K9
- SWAT
- Traffic Unit
- Humane Law Enforcement Officer (HLEO)
- Field Training Officer
- Bicycle Unit
- Firearms Instructor
