The Bedminster Township Police Department is seeking to hire for the position of Full-Time Police Officer. We are looking for hardworking, dedicated, and energetic individuals for our police department. We are comprised of officers who are community oriented and who take pride in their proactive response to crime and quality of life issues. We currently employ 16 Full-Time Police Officers and are looking to expand the department to 18 Full-Time Police Officers.
Applicants must possess a New Jersey PTC Basic Course for Police Officers Certification, or be an Alternate Route police academy graduate or possess a SLEO-II Certification that is eligible to receive a waiver from the New Jersey PTC. Recruits currently attending a police academy are eligible to apply as well.
1. Be a citizen of the United States and a resident of New Jersey by the date of appointment;
2. Possess a valid New Jersey driver's license;
3. Be between the ages of 21 and 35 years of age;
4. Have a good moral character and not been convicted of a criminal offense involving moral turpitude;
5. Possess one of the following:
6. Be psychologically and physically fit to perform all of the duties of a Police Officer;
7. Be able to read, write, and speak the English language conversantly;
