PENNINGTON BOROUGH POLICE DEPARTMENT

FULL TIME POLICE OFFICER

The Pennington Borough Police Department is currently seeking candidates for the position of Probationary Police Officer. This Job posting is for certified and non-certified candidates.

Non-certified candidates will be required to participate in a physical fitness test which will consist of push-ups, sit-ups, a 300-meter run and a 1.5-mile run. Certified candidates will be exempt from the PT test and will be advanced to the interview phase. Candidates with corrections and class 2 certifications will be accepted but must participate in the PT test.   

Our department is comprised of two sergeant's, three patrol officers and one detective. We are seeking candidates who are highly motivated, proactive and interested in working in a close-knit, community-oriented police department.

Eligibility Requirements

• Must be a resident of New Jersey and a citizen of the United States.
• Possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license.
• Must be between 21 and 35 years of age. 
• Shall have graduated from high school or possess a General Equivalency Degree (GED)
• Ability to perform all the tasks and duties of a Police Officer as per NJ PTC requirements
• No indictable criminal history conviction and of good moral character.
