Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develops and modifies OEM reports, using information from ICS reporting from various events and emergencies.
  • Prepares regular reports, gathering and summarizing data.
  • Provides statistical and data reporting to support for the analysis of OEM operational periods.
  • Researches and composes internal / external correspondence, briefing preparation, reports and requests for information on a variety of matters.
  • Schedules, coordinates and arranges for conferences, meetings and training with both in-house and consultant staffs.
  • Maintains scheduling and event calendars; maintains storage and access of compliance records in regards to FEMA, FTA, TSA, US DOT, NJSSO, etc.
  • Manages assigned projects, and contributes to committee and team work.
  • Ensures OSHA, PEOSHA, NFPA, FEMA compliance and records management.
  • Performs other tasks that may be asked or directed by Chief of Police; during times of emergencies may require weekends and nights and various locations as needed.

 

Minimum: 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Four (4) or more years of applied experience in an administrative/clerical position or project management, with a progression of reporting to higher levels of management. 
  • Must be able to pass a police background.
  • Associate's degree may substitute for two (2) of the required experience.
  • Should be able to obtain, interpret and analyze data related to Incident Command Reporting System according to Federal Emergency Management guidelines. 
  • Proficient with MS Office products including various software, i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. required.
  • Must be a team player capable of supporting OEM and NJ TRANSIT staff. 
  • Effective, efficient, self-motivated, versatile, flexible and the ability to multitask is required. Excellent organizational, attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Must be self-directed and able to work with Senior Management and Executives.
