POLICE OFFICER 

(NJPTC BASIC COURSE FOR POLICE OFFICER CERTIFIED or CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN BASIC COURSE FOR POLICE OFFICER REQUIRED)

(SLEO II WAIVER ELIGIBLE MAY BE CONSIDERED)

STARTING SALARY $46,000 to $88,000

GENERAL DUTIES

The South Bound Police Department is looking for candidates for the position of police officer who are intelligent, possess good report writing skills, good verbal communication skills, strong problem-solving ability, are community oriented, and who have a good work ethic.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Accepting resumes for the position of Police Officer. Applicants must be NJ PTC Basic Course for Police Officer certified or currently attending the Basic Course for Police Officer at an accredited NJ Police Academy.  Candidates eligible for a SLEO II Waiver may be considered.  The South Bound Brook Police Department is an equal opportunity employer.  

Starting salary is dependent upon the provisions of the current collective bargaining agreement; which is currently $46,000.  Years of experience as a full-time Police Officer in the State of New Jersey may be considered to increase starting salary up to, but not exceeding $88,000.
