GARWOOD POLICE DEPARTMENT

The Borough of Garwood is located in the center of Union County New Jersey.  Once known as the industrial center of Union County, our Borough has transitioned to a more commercial based suburban community conveniently located within easy commuting distance to NYC.  Our Department has served and protected our residents and visitors to our community since 1906.  With a patrol area of just under one square mile, we serve approximately 5000 residents and have roughly 1750 households.  Our Department is comprised of 18 sworn Law Enforcement professionals including the Chief of Police plus 4 civilian dispatchers.  The Garwood Police Department is fully accredited agency.
