Salary Range:
New Contract 2025-2028
Regular Officer pay $88,343-$111,895 Top step in 3 years including holiday pay.
Academy Recruit pay $70,154 – Probationary Officer pay upon Academy Graduation $77,733.
Summary:
The Town of Orange Police Department is accepting applications for full-time certified Police Officer. A Police Officer in the Town of Orange will enforce the laws of the State of Connecticut and ordinances of the Town of Orange while protecting the lives and property of the citizens that we are sworn to serve. Officers respond to routine and emergency calls for service, and they are designated as the medical first responders for the Town to render first aid and provide other assistance to the citizens as needed.
Minimum Requirements:
· Be 21 years of age at the time of appointment
· Be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Legal Resident
· Be a current POSTC certified Police Officer or be eligible for comparative certification
· Have 60 college credits; or have five (5) or more years of police experience; or were honorably discharged from military service
· Possess a valid motor vehicle license
