The Town of Rocky Hill is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of part-time Animal Control Officer. The Town is consistently ranked one of Connecticut’s most desirable residential and business communities. The Rocky Hill Police Department is committed to serving the public in all areas of public safety and animal control needs. The selected applicant will work directly for the Rocky Hill Police Department within the patrol division, and will work in collaboration with the men and women of the agency on a daily basis.

This position is a part-time, non-bargaining position and must abide by all personnel rules which can be viewed online (www.rockyhillct.gov). Salary is non-negotiable at $25.00 per hour. Anticipated work schedule of 19 hours per week. Applicants must be flexible in working days, evenings, and weekends.

POSITION: PART-TIME ANIMAL CONTROL OFFICER
DEPARTMENT: POLICE
REPORTS TO: POLICE ADMINISTRATION
SUPERVISES: NONE
BARGAINING UNIT: NON-BARGAINING
Responds to and/or handles all complaints regarding animal related issues. Interacts with other town departments; performs carried administrative duties; deals with the public and law enforcement officials; does related work as required.
