POLICE OFFICER – The TOWNSHIP OF EAST HANOVER POLICE DEPARTMENT, Morris County is accepting applications for a Probationary Police Officer.
Applications will be accepted until Wednesday September 1, 2026 @ 6:00 p.m.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Must possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited College or University by December 31, 2026
Must be ages 18-35
Must be a citizen of the United States
Must be a resident of New Jersey at the time of appointment
Lateral transfers must complete entire testing process and if appointed start at entry level salary
PHYSICAL AGILITY TEST
Sunday September 13, 2026, 8:00 AM @ Hanover Park High School (63 Mt. Pleasant Ave, East Hanover, N.J. 07936)
Individual evaluation will consist of the following exercises:
300 Meter Run
Pull-Ups
Push-Ups
Sit-Ups
1.5 Mile Run
WRITTEN EXAMINATION
The written examination will be administered at the following place and time:
NO STUDY GUIDES WILL BE OFFERED.

On the day of the exam, two forms of identification are required (one form must have a current photograph). A photo driver’s license is preferred. Registration will begin at 5:00 p.m. on a first-come first-served basis.
The following rules apply:
All applicants must be present and seated at least 15 minutes prior to the start of the examination.
All applicants must bring at least two (2) No. 2 pencils with erasers
There will be no talking or interaction once the exam begins
The test will take approximately 2 ½ hours to complete
No food or beverages are permitted in the auditorium
No cell phones or smart watches are permitted in the auditorium during the exam
