 RUMFORD POLICE DEPARTMENT
IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR

ENTRY LEVEL & CERTIFIED POLICE OFFICERS

 

The Town of Rumford is accepting applications for full-time entry level and certified police officers. Candidates must be 21 years of age and have a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and be in good mental and physical condition.

All applicants will be required to pass a background investigation, medical exam, physical agility test, polygraph, and psychological exam.

The Town of Rumford offers a competitive wage and insurance package.  Lateral Transfer incentives are offered to individuals who completed the Maine Criminal Justice Academy’s Basic Law Enforcement Training Program. Certified Law Enforcement Officers are preferred.

ABOUT RUMFORD

Rumford, Maine offers four seasons of outdoor recreation, including skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, swimming, hiking, camping, kayaking, canoeing and ATVing. The Black Mountain of Maine ski resort offers a major cross country ski competition center as well as downhill skiing. The Appalachian Trail passes within a few miles of town, along with other popular hiking trails, including Whitecap.
