SUMMARY: Patrol Deputy – No degree required; paid certification training, quality on the job training, and on-going career training; special teams; strong team atmosphere; and advancement opportunities.

ALL APPLICANTS MUST COMPLETE A WRITTEN EXAM & PHYSICAL ABILITY TEST (PAT) THROUGH PUBLIC SAFETY TESTING (PST). If PAT is not offered at your nearest testing site, complete the written and wait for additional information from the Sheriff’s Office.  Find a Public Safety Testing date in your area.

We are hiring multiple full-time entry level and lateral PATROL DEPUTIES

  • $21.60 - $30.27 per hour to start (includes $.50/Hr shift differential
  • RELOCATION BONUS OF $2,500 (if relocating more than 100 miles see website)
  • LATERAL HIRING BONUS OF $2,500 (see website for details)
  • No degree required
  • Extensive paid training, including the Idaho Peace Officer Standards and Training Academy (POST).
  • Public Employees Retirement System of Idaho (PERSI), a pension plan with five year vesting, 11.66% employer contribution, and a lifetime payout upon retirement.

• Do you have at least a High School Diploma or GED? No college degree required.
• Do you have at least 24 months of work experience?

TO APPLY: All applicants must complete written exam & physical agility test through Public Safety Testing website TESTING IN SPOKANE, WA ON JULY 20, 2019 or by utilizing the out-of-state testing option through Public Safety Testing. Please visit their website at https://www.publicsafetytesting.com/outofstate for further information. Must successfully pass the County's pre-employment and subsequent random drug tests. Must also pass a stringent Sheriff's Office background and selection process to include: Oral Board, Skills Testing, Psychological and Polygraph Examination.
