The Town of Hinsdale Police Department is accepting applications for the position of Police Officer. Selected applicants with the minimum qualifications listed below must pass a physical fitness test, oral board, intensive background investigation, polygraph examination, psychological exam and a medical exam. Applicants must be certified or certifiable by the NH Police Standards & Training Council. Full-Time Certified applicants will be given preference and may qualify for a $10,000 sign on bonus for full-time NH certified police officers and $7000.00 for out of state full-time certified police officers.
Minimum Qualifications: All applicants for the Hinsdale Police Department must be United States citizens; high school graduates, or possesses a GED certificate; and meets the state age requirement of at least 21 years. College education and/or military experience are highly desirable.
General Duties: Duties include patrol, law enforcement, and providing for general public safety and as further detailed the position’s job description. This may include the investigation of crimes, identification and apprehension of offenders, traffic enforcement, accident investigation, and providing emergency services. Applicants should have excellent communication skills. Applicants must be able to analyze situations quickly and objectively. Starting salary is between $37,564 to $50,170 annualized based on experience, plus a competitive benefit package and incentive program. Further information can be obtained by calling 603-336-5723.
