General Statement of Job –
The Human Resources Recruiting Coordinator performs professional and administrative work in all functional areas of the Human Resources Section. The purpose of this position is full cycle recruitment to develop and execute recruitment strategies to source, attract, onboard, and retain high quality talent.

 

Qualifications –
• High school diploma/GED equivalent
• Associates Degree or two (2) years of experience in an HR related field.
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in recruitment or related area.

 

Essential Job Functions –

• Attend recruiting events and participate in actively recruiting applicants to create an active pipeline of qualified candidates.
• Develops, plans, implements, and administers recruiting plans, programs, and strategies to meet both agency and departmental objectives and goals for staffing.
• Manages on-line recruitment process and maintains status of all job requisitions. Places advertisements as needed.
• Maintains accurate documents and processing on recruitment activities, applicant flow, follow-ups, new-hires, and announcements.
• Interprets, applies, and abides by employments laws, rules, and regulations; ensure plans, strategies, practices, and programs comply and support best practices.
• Develops and maintains contacts with educational institutions, employment agencies, placement firms, and other sources of applicants via face -to-face meetings, phone calls, email, social media, and other media outlets. Coordinates internal and off-site recruitment programs including job fairs.
• Partners with HR, other departments to determine effective recruiting strategies for attracting and recruiting candidates.
• Collects, tracks and reports data on all recruiting efforts and activities; makes recommendations and/or presentations based on that information.
• Assist in managing and participating in planning, developing, recommending, and implementing human resources activities, policies, procedures, and programs for an organization.
• Responsible for planning and conducting new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward organization goals.
• Participates in compensation and benefit surveys and/or conducts wage survey within labor market to determine competitive wage rate and remain apprised of current trends.

• Situational awareness – be aware and alert to the surrounding conditions and situations and be able to adapt to unexpected changes in situations to successfully and safely complete the task at hand.
• Public speaking – possess the ability to speak before groups, articulate ideas and effectively communicate in a well-planned, organized, and clear manner.
• Physical Requirements: Must be able to sit, stand, and bend body forward at waist. Use hands, handle and feel. Must be able to reach with hands and arms. Must be able to hear and understand communications through a telephone. Must have clear vision to view computer monitor. Requires the ability to talk and/or hear; (talking: expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken words; Hearing: perceiving nature of sounds by ear). Must be able to lift up to twenty pounds; carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
