Parking Facility Cashier
(Part-Time, 20 to 25 hrs./Week)
The Town of Hanover seeks a responsible, motivated, and reliable individual for a part-time (20 - 25 hours per week w/benefits) Parking Facility Cashier position. Starting rate is $15.28 per hour. Anticipated work schedule is Monday through Friday starting at 4:00 p.m. Hiring is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
Responsibilities:
Operate facility cashier equipment and parking software. Handle cash transactions with facility customers and collect and account for daily facility revenue; Monitor parking facility use and activity by patrolling during shift. Receive facility panic alarms and forward these to police department. Perform other duties as assigned by Parking Facility Supervisor.
Qualifications:
Familiarity with parking facility operations and ability to follow relevant policies and protocols. Selected candidate must be able to perform basic cashiering transactions by using related equipment and software, and perform basic math calculations as needed. Strong customer service skills required and ability to communicate tactfully and respectfully with others.
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent ability to read, write, and perform basic math as duties require.
Experience:
Prior cashier, parking operations, or related work experience, sufficient to perform job duties in an accurate and timely manner.
